Effect: 

You show your spectator a selection of different cards relating to your topic, e.g. the Landmarks pack, you show Taj Mahal, Big Ben etc

You then allow your spectator to select one of the cards, and as a true magician of course you know which card they have selected.

Performance Ideas:

With such a wide variety of themes and reveals there is so much you can do with your U-Pic cards, and your creativity can run wild. Below is just a couple of suggestions for you to enjoy.

Performance Idea 1:

Using the ‘Win A Prize’ cards with the reveal of Magic, and aiming at an audience of children. This would work well using our ‘Hat From Pad’ effect to assist.

You tell your child spectator that they can win a prize, and that you have some cards to help them choose which prize they are going to win.

You begin to show them all the different options of prizes, including the Nothing card, lets hope they don’t choose that one.

After you’ve shown them all the cards and then flipped the cards over for them to choose their card, you tell them to keep the card a secret.

You don’t need them to show you the card because you think you already know which prize they’ve picked and you are going to draw it. Using the ‘Hat From Pad’ effect, you proceed to draw and then reveal the Top Hat.

“Did I guess it right?”, you ask. They of course shout back “No”, which you know they are going to because you know they have picked the magic wand card. But you tell them you were just being silly, as you reach inside your hat and pull out the Magic Wand.

Performance Idea 2:

Using the close up ‘Landmarks’ cards, and aiming at a table full of adults.

You ask your table of guests if they have ever been to these different famous places, you begin to show them the different cards. Once you get to the final non-reveal card, you flip the cards and ask your chosen spectator to select one of the cards. You tell them not to show anyone the card but to repeat its name over and over in their head, silently of course, it would be a bit too easy if they said it out loud. While they are doing this, you tell them you are going to read their mind and you write down what you believe they have chosen on a small piece of paper and hand it to another member of the table. You then ask the first spectator to show the table which card it is they have picked, and then for your applause, ask your second spectator to show what you wrote on the piece of paper, and of course they match and you have managed to read their mind.
